The SuperBowl :30 Spot
The Long Form Film
For this year’s Super Bowl campaign, we travelled all the way to Winona, MN with Winona Ryder to her hometown and namesake to create Welcome To Winona.
Part photography essay, part vision quest, this is a campaign that celebrates the people and the places that make Winona, Winona.
(Local) Press
The townspeople of Winona were buzzing when they discovered who the big celebrity was. Even the local paper and news outlets like News 8 Now, WTTC-1 couldn’t keep it secret.
To top it all off, the Winona Tourism board even made their own Squarespace site: WelcomeToTheRestofWinona.com after the campaign launched.
We also gave every small business in Winona a free, one-year subscription.
Photography
In addition to the Big Game spot, we created a short film and a photo book that includes many photos taken by Winona herself. We sold copies on her site with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the American Indian College Fund. The photos can also be viewed on the website welcometowinona.com.
